Standby pump automation

Systems of the type PPS MICRO are used to start and supervise pump aggregates crucial to the operation of the vessel. Both electrical and mechanically powered pumps can be operated in standby mode.

The scope of delivery includes one control panel for every 2 pump pairs with the respective PLC system.
The control panels are ready for installation into a control console. The panels are connected to the PLC system via pre-confectioned and plugged cables. Time consuming console wiring is not necessary.

If the alarm system is also delivered by ASI, the control of the standby pump aggregates has been carried out via a substation of the alarm system since the end of 2003. The control panels remain as before.
Controlling the pumps via the alarm system significantly reduces cabling and wiring work. The signal flow occurs via the data bus of the alarm system.

Should the data bus fail, the pumps are controlled via the substation controllers.
